The pryect D. O. Uclés receives this name for various reasons:
Its geographical situation, Uclés is situated in the geographical center of the production area we are going to define. Its situation makes the work of the Association easier. Besides Uclés is situated in tne National Road Nº III Madrd-Valencia, this means an extra extrategical situation from the trading point of view.
 Uclés possess precious hereditary resources, wonderful landscapes a a lot of historical culture; The Uclés Monastery, The Albarrana Tower, are some of the most outstanding monuments in the area sorrounded by wonderfull landscapes. Nearby we find The Segóbriga excavations; the area is full of history, culture and beautiful scenery.
Besides for its neutrality, not having Wine Cellars, Uclés is considered as a neutral place for the D. O. as far as representation and promotion is concerned.
Uclés has the best and more suitable conditions as far as scenery and place is concerned to centralize the work of the Denomination of Origin torepresent the wines from the area.
