The Region
The high plateau of La Mancha extends from the Madrid community to Andalucia, encompassing the provinces of Albacete, Cuenca, Ciudad Real, and Toledo. This region is known by its extreme continental climate, with a rainfall of often less than 300 to 400 mls. per year and temperatures that vary from 45 º C. to -15º C. Plain soil, a beautiful red earth from the myocennic sediments of limestone. Very dry area. Its microclimate stops  humid air from comming in. For these reasons most of the cultivation in this area is crops of dry regions, although lately some farms are using dribble watering systems.
On the other hand La Mancha enjoys 3.000 hours a year of sun to ripen its grapes gold, and like that they will offer a better result.
