Considering how ancestral the tradition of cultivating wine is in La Mancha, the regulating council started in 1973, creating the D.O. La Mancha and adquiring a proper identity in 1976, with a Ministerial Order that approves the Rules of the Council O.M. 2-VI-1976 and the D. O. rules. This Coorporation of public law has a fundamental mission to accomplish, that is the defense of the viticulture in its producing areas, controlling the garanty of quality and the promotion of its wines.

Variety of Grapes:

  • White grape varieties: Airen, Viura or Macabeo, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc.
  • Red grape varieties: Cencibel or Tempranillo, Garnacha, Moravia, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Syrah.

The Wineries appointed to the D. O. La Mancha have known how to get modernized and progress according to the market demands and the consumer.
These Wineries have made of their wine elaboration an art, with a neat care of its facilities, equipped with the higgest level of technological innovation, at the same time that they commercialize their wines in a national and international market with a magnificent progression. In the international market our growing has been of a 10% per year in the last decade, data to be taken into account because it assures the presence of our wines in the countries that consume the most.

As we count with a great selection of wines we always have where to choose, without forgetting the quality:

  • Young Wines, that should be consumed in a period of no more than nine months from its elaboration time.
  • Traditional wines, whose natural life is comparable to any other Crianza wine, although its conservation has been made in deposit or large earthen jars.
  • Crianza wines, with two years of natural aging, from which one of them should be barrique or bottle.
  • Reserve La Mancha Wines,, with a minimum aging of 12 months in oak and 24 months in bottle.
  • Great Reserve wines, with a minimum aging of 24 months in oak and thirty six months in bottle.
  • Sparkling wines, elaborated with the traditional method, with a minimum of 9 months in bottle.
